I purchased this book, Harry Potter, Chamber of Secret's, 1st/1st HC UK Deluxe, new in 1998 and it has never been read and only opened for photo's. It has been stored in a sealed container in a non-smoking home. It has never been on a bookshelf and there is no writing, damage or marks of any kind. The ribbon has never been moved from it's original location. I pack in a cardboard box with bubble wrap, NOT A PADDED ENVELOPE, and ship FREE by USPS Priority Mail and include Insurance to cover purchase price.
