Harry Potter "Hogwarts" display banner from the Warner Bros. Studio StoresFIRST TIME EVER ON EBAY!! INCREDIBLY RARE STORE DISPLAY ITEM FROM BEFORE THE MOVIE SERIES!From 2000 comes this double-sided purple banner with the Hogwarts school seal from the JK Rowling Harry Potter book series. This was designed and used exclusively at the Warner Bros, Studio Store chain for the 2000 holiday season, the company's final holiday promotion before the closure of the stores in 2001, as they had an exclusive license for book-based Harry Potter merchandise in preparation of the Daniel Radcliffe movie series that would follow in 2001.Resembling a school pride flag, the banner is 42.5" long and 15.5" wide and has rod pockets at the top and bottom to hang it. The material is a heavy nylon. It was used to grab attention to whatever shelfing unit or gondola was displaying Harry Potter t-shirts, housewares, etc.(NOTE: The hanger is not included and is only used for display here.)This is a USED store display from over two decades ago. There is some fraying at the bottom rod pocket and light wear in various spots on either side, primarily at the folds of the banner. Please see the close-up pictures. It is safe to assume that the banner is NOT machine washable The banner will be shipped folded up along its original, existing creases.As best as I can tell, this is the first time ever this banner has ever been offered on eBay. The majority of Warner Bros. Studio Store display pieces were either destroyed or seized by the studio following the chain's closure to prevent items from turning up on the collector's market and to avoid potential copyright infrigements.
