You are viewing a Harry Potter Wizarding World Grand Opening Celebration VIP Wand.Highly collectible and extremely rare, this is an original Harry Potter wand distributed only to invited guests (including the cast of the Harry Potter movies) on the night of June 16, 2010, at the official Grand Opening Celebration of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort, Islands of Adventure in Florida. On a cue from Daniel Radcliffe, "Lumos Maxima," the tip of the wand lit up, casting a spell of illlumination over Hogwarts Castle, signaling the official opening. While the tip no longer lights up, there is still a certain magic to this wand, sure to cast a spell of its own on any true fan of Harry Potter. There are many wands now being sold in the theme park, however this design was only available for this special red carpet event and is not sold in the park, making it even more collectible. Only a few of these wands have been sold over the years.
